The Problem

Professional video editing and production using multiple tools is a complex and confusing process. Project timelines often get delayed due to broken communication channels and unaligned workflows, especially when editing several videos at once. The client wanted a unified platform to streamline their video production workflow. They wanted to replace various disconnected tools used for project management, client collaboration, file sharing, approval, and payments workflows.

We developed Timeliner, an all-in-one SaaS platform that empowers video agencies to manage projects, monitor team performance and automate end-to-end production workflows. It took us approximately three months to build the initial MVP and we went on to make it a centralised workspace by adding feature enhancements using generative AI software development.

The solution

We analysed the client’s workflow and identified operational bottlenecks. The choice of tech stacks helped us overcome challenges. React.js provides a fast, responsive interface and MongoDB stores flexible data models, helping users manage processes from a single dashboard. AWS offers scalable object storage and Cloudflare accelerates file delivery through its global CDN, allowing efficient handling of high-bandwidth videos.

Docker ensures consistent deployment of any video-processing services across environments. Node.js supports real-time communication, efficient handling of review requests and large numbers of concurrent users. All these technologies together create a modern, cloud-native architecture that delivers impeccable performance, each time, specifically for video production teams.
